Apple Watch Series 7 verkoop is gestart
We hebben er iets langer op moeten wachten dan normaal, maar vanaf vandaag is dan toch eindelijk de nieuwe Apple Watch in de verkoop gegaan. De nieuwe Apple Watch Series 7 heeft een groter scherm, sneller opladen en nog wat andere kleine verbeteringen. Als je al een pre-order van de Apple Watch Series 7 geplaatst hebt, zit je waarschijnlijk wel goed. Maar wat als je nu toch nog een nieuwe Apple Watch wil kopen? Waar kun je dan terecht? Is er nog losse verkoop in de Apple Store en zijn er al koopjes? Hoe zit het met de voorraad?
Hoe zit het met de voorraad?
Al voor de start van de pre-order van de Apple Watch Series 7 was één ding duidelijk: als je hem vandaag wil hebben, moet je er snel bij zijn. De voorraad is beperkt, want inmiddels zijn alle modellen bij Apple eigenlijk wel uitverkocht. Als je nu nog een nieuwe Apple Watch Series 7 wil bestellen bij Apple, moet je rekening houden met een levering op z’n vroegst eind november. Veel modellen en kleuren zijn inmiddels al doorgeschoven naar begin december, dus je zult dit jaar extra lang geduld moeten hebben. Dit geldt zowel voor de standaardversies als de Nike-variant.
We verwachten dat sommige fysieke winkels ook vandaag starten met de verkoop, maar dat ook daar de voorraad beperkt zal zijn. Bij sommige winkels zoals MediaMarkt kun je online bestellen voor afhalen in de winkel, zodat je zekerder bent van een exemplaar. Bovendien vind je in een aantal winkels ook showmodellen, zodat je de nieuwe Apple Watch zelf kan bekijken.

We krijgen regelmatig vragen van mensen die bij de Apple Store hun nieuwe Apple Watch willen afhalen. Ook andere vragen rondom het nieuwe model komen regelmatig voorbij. Hieronder bespreken we een aantal:
Kan ik op het laatste moment nog naar de Store gaan voor losse verkoop?
Ja, maar je moet mogelijk wel snel zijn. Hoewel er bij nieuwe producten meestal alleen op afspraak gewerkt wordt, geldt dat nu niet met de Apple Watch. In alle drie de Apple Stores in Nederland (Amsterdam, Haarlem, Den Haag) heeft Apple ook een (beperkte) voorraad voor losse verkoop van de Apple Watch Series 7. Hou er rekening mee dat mogelijk niet elk model en bandje op voorraad is.
Moet ik op het afgesproken tijdstip bij de Store zijn?
Nee, dat hoeft niet exact. Heb je een tijdslot tussen 10:00 en 10:15 uur, dan is het de bedoeling dat je rond dit tijdslot in de rij aansluit. Dat hoeft niet precies om 10:00 uur maar het kan ook nog om 10:13 uur. En als je door onverwachte tegenslagen te laat bent, krijg je ook om 10:30 uur nog wel je toestel mee. Kom je later, dan zul je mogelijk iets langer moeten wachten.
Wat als ik te laat ben voor mijn tijdslot?
Je kunt ook op een later moment je bestelde iPhone afhalen. Omdat je al betaald hebt voor het toestel zal Apple de iPhone niet zomaar meegeven aan iemand anders.
Apple heeft de tijdslots vooral gekozen om de toestroom van mensen wat te reguleren. Zorg dus dat je op tijd bent. Liefst niet te vroeg, maar ook niet veel te laat. Je hebt twee weken de tijd om je bestelling bij de Apple Store af te halen.
En vergeet niet je paspoort of ander ID-bewijs mee te nemen!
Kan ik mijn bestelling nog annuleren?
Dat kan. In de Apple Store-app kunt je op het linkje Annuleer dit artikel tikken om de aankoop te annuleren. Je krijgt dan je geld na een paar dagen teruggestort.
Kan iemand anders mijn bestelling ophalen?
Dat kan. Je kunt in de app een extra persoon toewijzen. Met de QR-code en geldige legitimatie kan deze persoon de iPhone ophalen. Je moet dit wel vooraf regelen.
Kan ik nog extra spullen afrekenen?
Heb je een Apple Watch gereserveerd en kom je die ophalen, dan kun je ook nog wat extra accessoires meenemen zoals een nieuw bandje. Een boodschappenlijst met nog zeven Apple Watches, een paar nieuwe iPhones en een nieuwe MacBook gaat niet lukken, omdat Apple de bestellingen zo snel mogelijk wil afhandelen.
Kan ik nu nog reserveren?
Dat kan, maar dan krijg je wel later geleverd. Als je nu nog een Apple Watch Series 7 bij Apple bestelt, wordt je bestelling op z’n vroegst midden november geleverd. Hoe langer je wacht, hoe langer de levertijden zullen zijn.
Ik heb al een Apple Watch Series 7 (GPS) besteld, maar ik wil toch liever de 4G-versie. Wat kan ik doen?
Apple heeft laten weten dat de verkoop van de Apple Watch Series 7 Cellular + GPS (4G) binnenkort start. Het is nog niet bekend wanneer de verkoop van deze modellen precies begint, maar we verwachten dit ergens de komende maanden. Als je toch liever de 4G-versie wil, kun je je huidige bestelling altijd nog annuleren. Je moet dan dus wel een nieuwe bestelling plaatsen zodra de verkoop van het 4G-model begint.
Je kan ook je huidige bestelling door laten gaan en zelfs de Apple Watch gebruiken. Je hebt tot twee weken bedenktijd, voordat je je bestelling bij Apple kunt retourneren en je geld terug kunt krijgen. Je zou deze twee weken kunnen gebruiken om de Apple Watch Series 7 alvast te proberen.
Wanneer komt de 4G-versie beschikbaar?
Dat weet helaas nog niemand. Apple heeft alleen gezegd dat de Apple Watch 4G (zowel de Apple Watch Series 7 als de Apple Watch SE) ‘binnenkort’ beschikbaar is. Het gaat dan waarschijnlijk om de aluminium én de roestvrij stalen versies. Je leest er meer over in onze Apple Watch 4G FAQ.
